Ingmar MattusIngmar Mattus
General Partner

 

Spada Capital was founded by Ingmar Mattus who is also the General Partner of the company. Ingmar has a decade of experience in managing both financial companies and investments.

Prior to founding Spada Capital, Ingmar worked at Admiral Markets, a market leader in currency and CFD brokerage services in the European region with more than 10 000 clients active clients.  As the Head of Dealing, his responsibilities included management of execution and clearing of all trades initiated by company's clients. He was also responsible for risk management, both systemic and financial (including currency exposure).

Before Admiral he worked at the Estonian Banking Association as a Public Relations Manager and cooperated with various international financial institutions in the field of payments, banking standards, public relations and communications. 

Ingmar has an outstanding reputation in the financial sector and has an in-depth knowledge and expertise in commercial and investment banking.

He has graduated from Estonian Business School, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He has attended various additional training courses in the fields of business administration and investment management.

 


 

Illimar MattusIllimar Mattus
Head of Trading

 

Illimar Mattus is a member of the management board of Spada and is the Head of Trading.

Before joining Spada, Illimar managed his private equity investment and financial consulting company with holdings in Estonia and the Ukraine. His portfolio companies were involved in real estate, production of mineral fertilizers, logistics and IT. Illimar has advised clients in numerous M&A and capital raising deals in the Baltics and the Ukraine, with cumulative transactions' value exceeding 100 million Euros. He has also been involved in numerous restructuring deals in Estonia.

Prior to that, he worked for the leading venture capital fund management company, SEAF, with head office in Washington DC which manages VC funds in more than 20 countries globally. In the Baltics, Illimar oversaw SEAF funds' investments in companies such as EGeen International Corp., AS Asper Biotech, AS Valnes and others.

Illimar has graduated from Estonian Business School with a degree in international finance. He has attended various training programs conducted by SEAF, EBRD, University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and Università Carlo Cattaneo in Milan.
